How to obtain effective diameter
Effective diameter E is determined by the formula : E = M-3dm+0.866025p (in the case of metric, unified threads) M : 3-wire external measuring method p : Thread pitch dm : Average indication of wire diameter
The TW series gauges are designed to measure the effective diameters of screws. They provide high accuracy through advanced processing technology nurtured through pin gauge manufacturing. The standard package includes 31 different gauges complying with the JIS B 0271 standard special sizes can be added on request
